Go back to article. sumedh_ranvir (2006-02-17 00:00:00): please how to download the imgage
Vlasta (2006-02-17 00:00:00): I do not know what image you are talking about, but you can download images from web pages by clicking on them using yout right mouse button and selecting the appropriate command from the context menu.
Unknown author (2007-01-04 00:00:00): I did not understand what you mean by:
"All images considered so far had rectangular shapes. But what if we need an image with an arbitrary shape, possibly with holes?"
Question & Suggestion:
1. What do you mean by 'holes'? Can you explain it through showing image examples...
Vlasta (2007-01-04 00:00:00): OK, look for example on the image in the left upper corner of this page (the logo of this site). It does not appear to have rectangular shape and you can see the picture behind it through a "hole" in the center of the image.
Unknown author (2007-03-24 00:00:00): Those are translucent parts of the picture
Unknown author (2007-07-01 00:00:00): Ok. Lets say you want to bring an animated icon from 100x100 pixels to 50x50 pixels. How can i do that w/o screwing up the icon?
ghost1986 (2007-10-04 00:00:00): rofl.....
Unknown author (2008-01-07 00:00:00): Really good & excallent piece of information.
Unknown author (2008-04-22 00:00:00): this doesn't tell me what a computer image is
Unknown author (2008-07-29 00:00:00): It tells you what it is in the most basic form possible, if all the math was laid out for you, you would be reading something to the equivalent of War and Peace. Basically, it is all math and equations in various types of languages that are known to the computer.
Unknown author (2008-08-14 00:00:00): Back to the arbitrary shape. Lets say a scan of a reindeer like a color book pattern. All I want is the outline, how do I make the white background go away?
Vlasta (2008-08-14 00:00:00): Fastest way of removing white background is by flood-filling it with active color set to transparent (and then of course by saving it using a file format supporting transparency, like .png). You can select maximum transparency by dragging the 4th slider (below red, green and blue) to the left.

invaderHUNK (2009-03-25 20:57:18): man,so many images i gotta make!
Unknown author (2009-06-04 09:09:52): What happened to .bmp? Bitmaps? Huh? The original computer image,it's still around today! It dosn't support alpha, though. It's a raster image.
Vlasta (2009-06-04 09:20:02): It's around, but it has no real advantages for normal users and it is not a standard image format for web.
Unknown author (2009-11-12 21:56:10): GIFs were the only images that can be an animation.
