Palette changing

Can we define a range?

2008-03-11Author: <unknown>
For cursors/animated cursors we have already created, is there a way to select and change the palette of colours used?

Not easily, I am afraid. The palette is not accessible to the end user and in case of XP cursors not even technically available.

The simplest way would be to use the Flood Fill tool with tolerance set to 0 to recolor individual areas.

But, the application can use scripted filters, so not all is lost. Here is one for you: download it and then open a cursor in the editor and drag and drop it on the toolbar with other filters (Brightness, Contrast, etc.). Then click it and select colors, preferably using the "From Screen Pixel" function.

If you want to change colors in SELECTED frames, you'll have to use a different file. This time, you should drag and drop it on the toolbar above the list of frames of an animated cursor (the lower window).

Thanx Vlasta, that should do the trick nicely.
