UploadingHow Do I Upload?
2008-06-21Author: Zasany How do I upload the cursors that I have made onto this site?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta Open them in RealWorld Cursor Editor and click Cursor->Add to online library from main menu or from toolbar.
2008-06-21Author: <unknown> So you can only upload them from the RealWorld one? I have Sib Cursor Editor and IconArt Freeware Version. Is there any way I can upload from those?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta No, you'll need RW Cursor Editor to upload them (it is free).
There used to be an upload form, but it did not really work, because people did not fill it correctly and I had to repair almost every submission manually.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany I know it's free but for some reason my cpu won't download it. =l
2008-06-21Author: Zasany K i'll try it.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Should I save it onto my Desktop or my hardrive or what?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta Somewhere, where you'll find it. Then unzip it into folder of your choice and run the main app.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany After I download it how do i install it. cuz when I went to My Computer and then onto my hardrive and opened the file there were a bunch of things to choos from. which one do I choose to install?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta It is not really an installed. You need to unzip the files and then run the RWCursorEditor.exe.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Ok I got it but isn't it just a trial?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta The 3D graphics part is time limited, the rest will continue to work indefinitely.
You can delete any of these files to remove the 3D part right now:
RWDocumentImageRendered.dll
RWDocumentUnicorn3D.dll
RWOutput.dll
RWViewGripShapes.dll
RWViewUnicorn3D.dll
RWViewImageRendered.dll
U3D_COMP.dll
U3D_PRMT.dll
2008-06-21Author: Zasany So is the 3D part the only part that is going to cost money later on?
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Awesome so If I delete those files then I won't ever have to pay?
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta Didn't I just say yes?
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Is there a way to permanently unzip it so I don't have to go through the unzip thing every time?
2008-06-21Author: Zasany sorry i'm new to the whole cursor thing so i have a few questions... I think thats the last one though
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta I believe, it is unzipped as permanently as it ever gets, otherwise you would not be able to run it. You just need to remember where you unzipped it.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Ok well thanks a lot for your help. =)
2008-06-21Author: Zasany I have another problem... I opened one o my cursors in RWCE and did what you said and it said it was in my library but when I went to create a set it said that I had no cursors in my library.
2008-06-21Author: Vlasta The uploaded cursor looks OK. You create a set from the main page of the library. Did you do that? What was the error message? BTW there should be at least 3 cursors in a set.
2008-06-21Author: Zasany Well I know where the button to make a set is and I didn't get an error message. It just said that there were none in my library. I also have a question about copyrighting. Is it ok to post cursors that have like logos on them? Because I made one that is the YouTube logo and I made one of a Relient K album cover, so is it ok if I post those?
2008-06-22Author: Vlasta Hard to tell why you could not see your cursor. There are also icons, couldn't you by chance click a link to create a icon set instead of a cursor set?
I am not really a copyright expert, but to be on the safe side, it would be better not to post things not created entirely by you.
2008-06-22Author: Zasany I don't know I'll figure it out later but right now I have a worse problem. When I try to color in stuff like arrows on RWCursorEditor if the color is not white or black when I try to color it it just randomizes each pixel's color, it's driving me crazy. I can't find anything that is selected that isn't supposed to be and I would like it if you could help me. =P
2008-06-22Author: Vlasta It looks the image format of your cursor is set to only 16 (standard) colors and the application tries to do its best to approximate the active color using the available ones. Add a new format with higher bit depth (use the highest one for smooth edges) to the cursor and remove the old one after you copy it to the added one.
2008-06-22Author: Zasany How do I chang the image format? and if it was standard wouldn't it just be normal?
2008-06-22Author: Zasany I'll show you what's going on, I'm going to use the paint bucket thing and use red. I will fill a normal arrow with it then post it. then you can see it at the cursor page.
2008-06-22Author: Zasany I posted it, you can't tell that the little dots are different colored but if you zoomed in then you could see purple and dark red dots on it.
2008-06-22Author: Vlasta If you are modifying a .cur file, there is a Image Format panel in the left upper corner and you can use the buttons in that panel to add and remove formats.
For .ani files, Change Format command in the Cursor menu.
(by standard I meant the 16 standard Windows colors - white, black 2 grays, blue, red, ...)
(BTW I have deleted it, it is exactly what I was writing about before)
2008-06-22Author: Zasany Thank you so much. =) that fixed it and what do you mean that you have deleted it?
2008-06-22Author: Vlasta The example is gone...
2008-06-22Author: Zasany Oh thanks =)
2008-06-22Author: Zasany Yout should check out my cursors. =P
2008-06-22Author: Vlasta That's a good start .
2008-06-22Author: Zasany =)
