with less shadow

I am creating an icon from the wizard "Create icon from image".

The problem is that the edges of the image gets very dark. How do I manage to not make them that dark?

In the second step, there is a checkbox by the bottom edge of the dialog called "Enhance icon edges by shadow effect". Uncheck it.

If you choose the option to customize the generated image formats, this checkbox will be disabled, but you will be able to add, remove and configure the amount of shadow in the next step. The settings are per generated image in this case, so you'll need to remove or adjust shadow for all generated formats in this case.
