Transparent Cursor

High Visible Cursor

2008-03-28Author: bcollinsks
I am trying to put a transparent yellow circle around a windows large black arrow. It would increase the visibility of the cursor. I am playing with transparency but can't figure it out. I am looking to make about a 1 inch circle about the arrow but it needs to be transparent so you can read whats under the circle. I would really appreciate any help on this.

Thanks

I suppose you have opened the Windows original cursor and tried to draw the circle and it was not transparent. This is most likely because the default arrow is not using smooth transparency. After you open it, go to the left panel, click the torus with + sign icon and then "32x32 Smooth Edges (XP)" fromt the popup menu. This adds a new image with higher color depth. Then select the old image and delete it. Finally choose yellow, semitransparent color, switch to "Draw under" mode and draw the circle. You may also want to shift the arrow to make the circle fit.
