GUI for PhotoResizer?

Suggestion

2006-01-08Author: Domoy
I'm so glad I found this little tool, I just miss a few things and seeing it's in development I have a few suggestions for a GUI:

Small window, nothing fancy.
Edit parameters(text input to start with).
A checkbox "Keep created image"
A button "Apply/Preview"
A second button "Done" <- This one shall create a shortcut to PhotoResize.exe with the chosen parameters.

With this you could either keep the created image to compare with other parameters, or you could just delete the created image each time you press "Apply/Preview"

Link the GUI and PhotoResize exe's. What the GUI should do is just start PhotoResize.exe with the chosen parameters and the -o added.

The GUI should also add the parameters in the "Comment" section inside the jpeg itself to make it possible to use the same parameters again without typing them down in any way(paper or .txt).

It also need to loop the first image(if more than one is dropped onto it) until the user hits the "Done" button.

Also as response to one of Vlastas threads: YES PLEASE ADD MORE IMAGE FORMATS!!! =)

If you need someone to help with testing you could drop an email to ddaavviidd at gmail dot com.

Thanks for your suggestion. I see what you mean and it makes sense, but would take a lot of work (relatively to the rest of the tool). We are currenlty busy making a new version of icon editor, but once that is done, I'd like to give it try. I will let you know on your email.

Would you mind if I took a crack at developing a GUI for Picture Resizer? I would like to create a project using AutoIT and I think Picture Resizer would be a prime candidate for the development of a GUI. Anyway, let me know if you would agree to this and what stipulations you may impose on my use of Picture Resizer.

You may of course develop an application that cooperates with Picture Resizer. If it is freeware you may also distribute them together in one package.

Interesting tools on your site BTW.

Thank you. I will keep you posted on developments. I may of course have some questions for you about Picture Resizer, especially about all the tags that are available.
