Upgrading from beta
Upgrading from a beta version to final version of any of the RealWorld Designer applications is more complicated than simply upgrading from previous to a new version.
To properly upgrade from a beta version do the following:
- Manually uninstall the beta version from Control Panel.
- Install the final version.
- Go to Start menu->RealWorld->More and run the Manage XXX(XXX is the upgraded application) command.
- The application management window appears. Click the "Reset Configuration" button. This will delete your current settings and lets the application use the final configuration. This is an important step, because the configuration usually changes significantly in the last moments.
- If the application uses the tagged storage, it is recommended to let the application use the database that comes with the final version to get all the sample images or 3D models.
- If you have not saved any files to the library, it is recommended to delete it. Otherwise, you should just rename it and import it later.
- The database file is stored in your roaming profile.
On Windows Vista: C:\Users\<user_name>\AppData\Roaming\RealWorld\RWIconEditor.rwdb
On Windows XP: C:\Document and Settings\<user_name>\Application Data\RealWorld\RWIconEditor.rwdb
