Fat Pixels - January 2026 TOTM

For January, the contest theme will be Pixelart. Participants are invited to submit thematic sets of pixel-style graphics, focusing on sharp edges, consistent grids, and deliberate use of limited resolution. So, no using smooth vector shapes this time! Submissions may include icons, cursors, or assemblers, provided they adhere to a pixelart aesthetic. All entries must be original works, though inspiration may be drawn from classic games and early digital interfaces.

To participate, please create a cursor or icon set or assembler, publish it in the Gallery between January 1st and 22nd, and then reply to this topic specifying the set or assembler that you want to submit to the contest.

Aren't Windows 2000/XP cursors usually pixel art? Because there are groups of people that agree with me, and some that don't. I would say they are, because they're from a time where there weren't smooth edges in UI.
