topic iconHow do I stop RWCE from smoothing edges?

I love RWCE, and I've been using it to make sprites for a game I'm working on. (For fun, not for commercial release). The problem I'm having is, when I have an image open, if I select any part of the image, and move it, it makes the Image selection blurry, like it's trying to smooth the edges, but my drawings are pixel art, so smoothing = BAD! I uninstalled it and reinstalled, didn't fix the problem. I uninstalled deleted the save settings file it creates, then reinstalled, didn't fix the problem. So I uninstalled, deleted the saved settings file, and went through the entire registry, like EVERY SINGLE KEY in the registry for any mention of RWCE.exe, or it's associated file types that are exclusive to it, and I deleted every single registry key I could find, (Which took about 5 and half hours), then ran an earlier version of the portable version of RWCE... STILL didn't fix the problem. It doesn't look like people are on here very often, so I'm shooting in the dark because I do not know where else to go. If anyone knows something I don't, I'll take any suggestions.

You can click on the pixellated line next to the smooth line in order to do this. You can also click on the even grid icon next to that in order to prevent the selection from blurring out. The configuration above makes the image blurry, switching to the opposite (shown below) modes makes it pixellated.
