About licensing.

The default selection for licensing in this website in Public Domain, which is good. However, I've seen many pointers and icons which have the Public Domain "license" despite being obviously copyrighted or based on copyrighted work, perhaps almost all works in here are based on copyrighted work but are tagged as public domain. In an ideal world it wouldn't matter, since intellectual property is a spook, but most of the world doesn't realized that and we're still subject to stupid laws.
I wanted to question if anybody has ever noticed this particular issue and maybe I could help with suggestions if anybody is willing to repair it, perhaps the user could be prompted beforehand to select the license instead of just defaulting to public domain if the user doesn't select anything else, and then the user could set to mark all his works as public domain in case they never upload any copyrighted work.
Maybe it's not that big of a problem, I just wanted to bring it up.
