Supported scenarios
Retouch a .jpg image without losing quality
RealWorld Photos is able to perform lossless and partially lossless modifications
to jpeg images. If only a small portion of an image is modified, which is typical when
scratches are removed from a photograph or when a watermark is added, RealWorld Photos
will keep the rest of the image exactly as it was by copying the unchanged regions from
the source image without decoding and re-encoding them.
Perform advanced batch operations
The application can be used to apply arbitrary filters or operators on multiple files
at once. It is possible to resize, watermark, rotate, change file format, apply filters (including plug-in
filters compatible with Adobe Photoshop) or do a combination of thereof.
Users can create their own batch operations using JavaScript. The scripted operations
can access the image pixel by pixel, run a native image filter, work with temporary canvases
or use some drawing tools to draw for example smooth polygons.
Customize the application
RealWorld Photos was designed to be extremely customizable. Software developers
can create plug-ins to enhance almost every aspect of the application. Except the
common plug-ins for image filtering, import and export, it is possible to create
plug-ins for drawing tools (such as Bezier curves) or windows (such as histogram view).
The third party plug-ins have exactly the same possibilities as the built-in tools.

Various shapes can be drawn by edit tools. The last added shape can be adjusted using control handles.

Images dragged and dropped from file manager will be processed and results will be saved and are visible in the lower part of the window.

Note: The application does not work on earlier Windows systems and there are currently
no plans to extend the list of supported operating systems.
