New Website

Published by on April 5th 2011.

Hey everybody! I've created a website on a free domain. Check it out! It's http://danielwgraphics.yolasite.com.

It hasn't really got any cursors that aren't here on Real World (in fact it has fewer) but It only has my COMPLETE cursor sets; so if you're one that doesn't even bother with half complete sets or sets that have a theme but only normal select roles (ie: letters of the alphabet or something like that) then it's a little easier.

It also has some of my work for another hobby of mine: flight simulator repaints. Basically paint jobs for virtual aircraft on Microsoft Flight Simulator for any of you that have it. Or just to see what else I like to do for those of you that don't =).

Feel free to reply to this if you like what you see or have suggestions on how to improve my site.

Nice job. The only thing I noticed was the link to the cursor change tool. You are aware that the file necessary for changing the cursors rapidly is generated by this site right? So unless you are writing the file yourself (Can be done with notepad easily), you will always have to download the cursors from this site to acquire the file.

Not sure if you knew that or not, so I thought I'd mention it.

I didn't know that. Good to know though. Thanks for mentioning that.

Good work! I am always happy when people take it to the next level ;-) and create their own website focused on graphics. Inspiring creative people is one of the the goals of rw-designer.com.

Right now, your website looks nice and clean, as you'll be adding more stuff, you'd probably need some paging mechanism. Maybe you should add horizontal lines between the sets to indicate which download belongs to which preview image.

I hope that you will keep adding your new cursors on rw-designer :-)

If you want a free site that doesn't have the huge banner on the bottom, you could try google sites. I use it for school. Mine's here. No graphics other than my picture really, but it has a different purpose.

I don't think they have as many "Cool" templates or anything though, so maybe Yola is better to stick with.

Thanks Vlasta. And yes rw will always be the first place any of new cursors will go. :-)

Nice website JDDellGuy! I'll have to look into google sites. Where I've already got a good start on Yola, I'll probably not switch over unless I find a must have.

Nice website.
You should include a link to the set in RW with each so that people may take advantage of the cursor change tool. I would note this as well to let your audience know the difference. Heck, you could just use this site as your download page via link next to the images.

I didn't notice a contact option on your site. Is there one? I always include a means by which the visitor can easily email me. Could be a link at the page bottom or a form for messages.

I also did not notice a comment box. Naturally this is your decision and maybe you are opposed to adding one but I think it would be a nice addition for feedback.

I use jigsy, my site is here. It is super easy and has tons of themes, comment boxes, message forms, social media linkage, and is free.

Just facebook? You should consider adding more social media plugins even if you don't use them yourself. icon-image/8311-24x24x32.png image
