A set of Gem icons that matches the gem cursors that I uploaded earlier. Each Gem took a little over and hour and a half to render in Blender and then I simply converted them to icons with RealWorld Icon Editor.

Don't forget to rate and comment!

Enjoy! :-)

I have now uploaded the darker versions. I think the lighter versions look better though. Thanks for the suggestions Koby. :-) I'll get on it.

They are so pretty! I like the green one the best!

how did you do that?

user icon JDDellGuy contributing user on September 5th 2011

Thanks for the comment Dragonluv!

I used a 3D editor program called Blender. Blender can be used to make very realistic looking objects, in this case the Gems.

Basically, I used Blender to create a 3D gem shape and gave it a glassy material to be made out of. Then I rendered it (Turned it into a picture). Then I used the Realworld Image to icon tool to turn the picture of the gem into an icon.

Yup, that seems like a nice way to do it. I should download Blender. By the way, these look great.
