This is certainly an effective way to show the usefulness of layers.

JDDellGuy (2011-04-11 14:52:56):

Wow, nice. Maybe I'll make some assemble-able icons. This is a nice tool for beginners.

Erik (2011-04-11 15:36:03):

You are right, making layerd icons in online browser is very helpfull. :-)

absterninja (2011-04-14 04:06:38):

This is GREAT!!!!!

JDDellGuy (2011-04-15 08:04:59):

If I were to submit a set for this, is there any particular way you would like the parts organized in the .zip file for your ease of applying them to the tool?

I am thinking of creating a custom Emoticon set for this. It would most likely contain the following components-

-Face (for background color)
-Right eye
-Left eye
-Right eyebrow
-left eyebrow

The zip file that I would send you would contain separate folders for each category of components. Would you prefer it to have all the components in the same folder or would this method work?

Vlasta (2011-04-15 10:24:23):

Currently, the preferred way is to put all files in one folder, but also to put layer numbers at the start of each file name to make the alphabetical sort work for them. Background should look like 1-name-of-my-picture.png, images for second layer should be 2-name-of-the-other-picture.png. This is no needed for the online tool to work, but some packs are shared with the icon editor and there the categories are lost.

Fad1h7 (2015-02-15 01:54:23):

how do you make a icon maker?

Vlasta (2015-02-15 10:23:25):

You prepare a set of 256x256 images, split them into groups for each layer, pick a name and a description and send it all zipped to info@rw-designer.com

Unknown author (2015-08-29 05:10:23):

Nibbler (2016-02-04 15:47:56):

I have sent an icon assembler via email!

Vlasta (2016-02-05 09:47:27):

Was the email address correct? No email received yet.

Nibbler (2016-02-05 15:34:22):

Yes. I typed "info@rw-designer.com".

Nibbler (2016-03-01 16:12:52):

Is there a way to make icon assemblers with text boxes so the text shows on the icon?

cdl (2016-03-02 00:19:29):

If a creator made an icon set for the icon assemblers page with text boxes as one of the elements then there would be text boxes on the icons.

I'm not sure I understand your question.

icon-image/8307-32x32x32.png image

Nibbler (2016-03-02 15:05:23):

I mean that if you have text boxes to type text on icons, the text boxes on the icon preview would be hidden.

cdl (2016-03-03 19:31:54):

Now I am confused.

icon-image/8307-32x32x32.png image

I still do not understand.

Nibbler (2016-03-03 20:07:21):

Try an example of making a street name sign on this link and see if you can understand.
