This tool does not open cursor files. You need to download them to your computer first and then right-click on them.

dude,thats ownage!!!!!!! i never thought that id find this, yknow like when i click on pointers on my mouse thing on the ctrl panel, it freezes and says rundll32.exe aint workin, but this, this didnt have no problem, and its cool

It doesn't work for .ani files...

It may not work if your file association for .ani files are wrong. The cursor changer does not overwrite them, because it would disrupt you current application assigned to open .ani. If you fix the association, reinstall the cursor changes and it should start working.

Woah! Love it! This really helps me out! I'm tired of having to go to the control panel and apply a whole 15 cursors I just downloaded from this site. But now I can open .crs files!! Yay!! It may LOOK simple, but if it was YOU coding it, it would be harder than you thought.

P.S. Is this a process that works in the background of your computer?

Not exactly, Windows Explorer loads it as an extension when you first use it (right-click on .cur, .ani, .crs file). It can be unloaded after it is used, but when that happens depends on Explorer.

Cant find the program on my computer...

if u want like a like.....online game type in whatever cursors then click on it press save onto ur desktop then go onto controll panell and click on pointers them click on browse then find what u want click apply then ok then ur done =]

Firstly, I'm using Vista and the option doesn't appear in the menu.
secondly,... HEEEEEEEEELP MEEE!!!
I accidentally changed the default program to open the cursors and now I can't see the preview!!! How can I solve this? Please, somebody help!!!

It works in Vista too, but after you have changed your file associations, you need to re-install the cursor changer.

To fix your previews, try using the application you have used to change the default program and revert back. If there is no such option, you would need to do the change manually in registry or you can install RealWorld Cursor Editor and then associate .cur and .ani file with it from the Tools menu.

@The_Last_Anonymous_Here Just install it, right click on the .ani or .cur file and will appear a new drop down menu with the option to change to that cursor.
Go to it and select the cursor you would like.
Also, check the compatibility of windows versions shown here.

Except it does work. Use 64-bit edition on 64-bit Windows and make sure your .cur and .ani file association "standard".

With RW Cursor Editor You Can Change The Cursor In 1 Second.
Press 'Cursor' And Then 'Use Current For' And Then Press On The One You Want The Cursor Change Into.
