I am to think from your response that no matter what "Icon Extractor" I decide on using and implementing to FINALLY be able to create "my" permanent archive of many of the WXP icons I've learned to love and now visually "depend on" to ID many of my files at a glance (hee) ... that the word "Extractor" is basically "synonymous" (burrr - smile) with the words copy/paste/borrow ... etc. Smile!?

You cannot directly delete icons (to protect them if somebody guessed your password), but you can hide them and they will be eventually deleted.

Yes, it is too much of too big icons for one set. I have deleted the current ones. Please remove the 256x256 images from your icons and re-upload them. It should work with only the smaller images.

(Instead of Create Vista icon, simply use Create icon command.)

When you try to log-in and type the password incorrectly, there will be an option to send you your password by email. You of course must type your email correctly (including character case when logging in).

Hi! Um, I have my serial number now. How do I use it to fully register the program? I have 13 days remaining on it.

Uh, not to be a tattletale, but Kampfteddy6 has a cursor set that contains "questionable" material.

Regarding serial numbers, they are entered through main menu Help->About RealWorld ... The dialog also automatically appears once there is less than 5 days left.

You should add a section of top cursors/icons. 10-25. Sortable by either highest ratings or most downloads.

A better main page for the icon and cursor libraries is coming and it will hopefully include what you suggest, but it is going to take some time.

I am sorry, I do not understand. I asked why you had four profiles, I did not complain... Not sure what you mean by comparing sets either.

Hm, it used to be 8 profiles actually, I had to make a profile-merging tool, because merging them manually would take ages. Other than that, I do not see any problem...

How do you get the edges of your cursors and icons so smooth?

Simplest way is probably drawing the icons or cursors much larger and then scaling them down to for example 1/4 of the size. (So yo can for example draw the cursors at 128x128 and then scale them down to the standard 32x32.)

Vlasta is a master programmer sent from the planet Pluto. Thanks for the heads up on the hotspots, got them all fixed now but not sure about the placement of the ibeam's. Seems a little wrong but not sure where it should be. Also added one more for the set the unavailable one. Also your cursors are very nice. I esp like the weather icons. Soon will be a new set from me, not sure about the name yet.

I had a question but wasnt sure where to poste it so. Im thinking you have a lot to do with the web site so i figured ill just send you a message, If I'm sending it to the wrong person sorry and please let me know.

What I wanted to know is would it be preferred that i upload all the cursors for the set and wait until the set is completed before posting that set?

I figure that if people were coming back to get more of the set(s) they like as they were made would generate more traffic for the site, but probably not more users. But I also figure that I should try and keep in line with the idea(s) on how the sites managers had intended things to be done. Please let me know which is preferred and ill surely do it that way next time I begin a new set.

almost forgot, I've been running RWCursor in linux just fine using Wine. The net stuff dosent work but i dont think thats a real big deal. I dont think you even need to make a linux version. But if you do you will probably get a lot of new users.
However, cursor making in linux is a real pain. Upside to that: nobody has made a good program for making cursors in linux and there is a LOT of people that would appreciate/download/use/share! So it might not be a bad idea to make a version for linux, you should make it for the Ubuntu rpm's and it will take off from there. But you will need to make some sort of theme construction tool's to go with or nobody will be able to use them.
Also if you decided that you wanted to go for it Im also sure you can enlist some linux coders at no expense. I know someone who just may be interested. Check out GrubCustomizer, I think he's pretty much done with that project. All-in-all, I think you should seriously look in to it (again sorry if this is directed towards the incorrect person, please forward or let me know)

Regarding the cursor set creation ... there is no rule how to do that, whatever suits you best is OK. Though you only get one shot to make the first impression and due to this reason, I would recommend to post a whole set or the core part of it at once. That does not mean that you cannot upload the individual cursors sooner, they will patiently sit in the junkyard until you turn them into a set.

I do not think there will be a dedicated Linux version in the foreseeable future, there is a lot of Windows specific code and making it platform independent will be too much work, even with help. The product still needs to evolve rapidly and it is best to keep is focused on Windows for now. But I should not neglect the Wine/RunOnLinux compatibility. I should make sure all works as it should on Linux and do a guide on how to install it etc. (or if you wish, you can do the guide).

I guess I should fully support the Linux xcursor format in the next version - not just importing, but also exporting so that people may use it to make native Linux cursors.

supporting the xcursor format would surely do the trick. As far as installing, all i did was run the msi to install and wine did the rest. There is probably a way to get the web things to work as well but im not good at messing with the wine settings or i'd be happy to document how to do it. However the wine homepage does offer ways to get specific programs to work correctly. Ive been trying to build the xcursor themes but im getting nowhere. Not sure why its soo complicated. If you need any help figuring it out on gnome-look.org there are a few proficient people that fully understand and know how to get things working. Usually they are all willing to lend a hand. One of the sets "Comic Cursor Set" includes the sources which has scripts for installing. Documentation on xcursor is hard to find that is accurate and understandable (for me anyhow) but i can guarantee if you can get it working and get the word out you will gain TONS of users.
